This past November My Husband Rob and I had the opportunity to take our survey trip to the country of Nepal. Nepal is the country that God has laid on our heart to go as missionaries to. it was a truly an exciting trip that God really used in my life especially to help give me a greater burden for the lost. While in Nepal we stayed with the Ortiz family who are also Independent Fundamental Baptists, it was a blessing to fellowship with them. We feel that God is leading us to work with them the in the Church and Bible institute they've started while we attending language school. Here are a few of the many pictures that we took.
Hope Baptist Church
This site is where Hindu cremations take place, the ashes are then brushed in to the "holy river" below so that the deceased can move on to their next life. It was so sad to see.
The capital city of Kathmandu where we will be working.
An orphanage we visited.
A typical crowded street.
One of the many Hindu "holy" sites that we visited. This one was called the Monkey Temple.

My friend, Adele (she is on my blogroll under "Our Little Rice Patty" if you want to look at her blog) and her family are raising support to go to Asia -- possibly the Czech republic, but not quite sure where yet. They have taken several survey trips in the past year or so to China and other places, and you might enjoy talking with another who is going through the same things. :~)
Thanks for sharing the pictures. :)
